At Brady Financial Group, community service
is one of the company’s
Core Values. To be a part of the firm, the
expectation is that you will give back to the community. President Kevin
Brady sets the example, but everyone in the firm is committed to helping
build stronger communities.

YMCA of Hamilton/Burlington
Kevin, who has been actively involved with the
YMCA of
Hamilton/Burlington/Flamborough, assumed the role of Chair of the Board of
Directors in 2003. In the past he has chaired the Endowment Fund, the
Partners with Youth Annual Fundraising Campaign and the Major Gifts
Division, which has been focused on the Building Healthy Tomorrows Capital
Campaign.
Kevin
also chaired the Strong Kids Campaign in 2002 that raised over $375,000.
The fund allowed 4,400 children and youths to take part in a camp
experience and other YMCA programs that they otherwise could not have
attended.
Our 3rd Annual Brady Financial Group/YMCA Strong Kids Golf Classic
– benefited the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. It was held on Wednesday, September 15, 2004. Click for
details.

Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital
Kevin sits on the Board of Directors of the
Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Foundation. Kevin has also been a fundraiser in the Major Gifts Division as
well as a contributor.

Run for the Cure
The dedication of the Brady Financial Group staff is demonstrated by the
100 per cent turnout of employees and their families to this worthy event,
which raises money for breast cancer research. Collectively they raised
more than $3,000 in last year’s run, and were awarded 4th place for
Corporate Fundraising.
“One of the staff members came forth with the idea three years ago, and we
all jumped in and got T-shirts. This is how a lot of these things happen,
they are initiated by staff and we all get involved,” Kevin says.

Ronald McDonald House
Kevin takes off his suit jacket and puts on an apron on McHappy Day, the
day McDonald’s Restaurants raise money for
Ronald McDonald House and the
Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities of Canada.
Brady Financial Group is also one of the
sponsors of Lloyd Kirkpatrick Golf Tournament, a tournament organized by
Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton. Since Ronald McDonald House receives no
government, United Way or on-going corporate funding, it relies on
donations and fundraising.
The golf tournament is one of the
organization’s major fundraising events of the year and they say support
like that given by Brady Financial Group is critical to their survival.

United Way
Full employee participation in
United Way
fundraising earned Brady Financial Group a Platinum Award – the top award
for participation – two years in a row. All Brady employees have given to
the United Way.
“United Way gives to so many needed
organizations, so our contributions help meet a number of valuable
charities in the community,” Kevin says.
Carpenter Hospice
Kevin has been involved in a number of
different events that helped raise money to make this hospice possible. In
2001 he was a member of the Capital Campaign Major Gifts Team, which was
instrumental in raising a good portion of funds needed to build the
hospice.
“This was a real good cause. It was a facility that was desperately needed
in this community,” Kevin says.
The hospice supports the physical, emotional
and spiritual needs of the terminally ill and their loved ones in a
home-like setting.

Kidney Foundation
The
Kidney Foundation
of Canada is just one of the many causes Kevin and Barb canvas
for personally. Kevin has canvassed for the foundation for about seven
years and has been an area chair for the past three years. The chair is
responsible for organizing the captains who oversee the work of the
canvassers.

Rotary Club
Kevin first joined the Rotary organization in Burlington when he was 29,
and has always been involved in every community in which he has lived. He
has been heavily involved in the
Rotary Club of Burlington Central serving
on the Board of Directors and was Director of International Service in
2003.

Burlington International Games
Rob Green, Employee Benefits Consultant, has been a member of the
Executive Council of the
Burlington International Games for the past three
years. Rob has also chaired the annual BIG Golf Tournament. Brady
Financial Group has been a major supporter by sponsoring the Mayor’s
Breakfast as well as the Golf Tournament.
